Biography:
David Lucero is a volunteer assistant coach with deep ties to the Pagosa Springs community, where he wrestled from youth through high school, earning three state medals, including a state championship his senior year (1991). He wrestled for Fort Lewis College and graduated in 1996 with a degree in psychology. Coach Lucero is a very successful businessman in Pagosa and has assisted in the wrestling program numerous times over the years, as his schedule allows, dating back to 2000. He was also internal in the development of Pagosa Wrestlers on the 2021 State Championship team

Keith Candelaria graduated from Pagosa Springs High School in 2000. He and his brother Kraig were important players in the team's state runner-up finish in their junior year. He graduated from Northern Colorado in 2007 with a degree in Physical education, coached middle school football and wrestling, and assisted in the high school program. Pagosa Springs Middle School wrestling has won 12 San Juan Basin League titles under Coach Candelaria.
Biography:
Matthew Teachworth wrestled at La Joya School in San Diego, where he graduated in 2002. He went on to get a degree in Kinesiology from Monterey Bay College. While there, he participated in 2 years of club wrestling and practiced martial arts. Mr. T has taught in Pagosa schools and has been an assistant coach in the Pagosa Springs High School program since 2017. He works heavily with junior varsity and the upper weight wrestlers. The number of upper weights o the pagosa roster is a testament to Coach Teachworth's value as a coach.
